What are some economic losses due to air pollution?

Bryant Chaudhry: Well, Im not sure about what you mean by 'they' when you say they have to pay but some losses could be --- Increased health care costs of the population due to an increase in pollution. Additional costs for maintenance of parks, gardens, trees, rivers and other natural resources. Possibly an increase in traffic accidents due to loss of visibility which over a long period of time would result in vehicle insurance prices rising. Decrease in tourist revenues since tourists will not want to visit a very polluted city. A further increase in pollution since owners of vehicles such as motorcycles and 2 wheeled vehicles will prefer to take a car to avoid the pollution.
