David Kuper: You don't mention where you live, but if you are in the USA see if there is a Ross Dress for Less store near you. They have incredible deals on small storage units like shelves, baskets, closet organizers and hampers in the home goods department of their stores. Also very low prices on high quality decorative items like towels, curtains and linens. I've picked up some great organizing and decor items from the one near me for very little cost. They are even cheaper than the discount stores like Target and Walmart and the products tend to be better brand names.Yard sales and thrift stores can also yield useful storage items if you have the time to check them out. Also look on Craigslist for you area under the "free" listings -- you would be amazed how many people give away file cabinets. (Too bad you don't live near me because I have two in my basement I plan to give away.)...Show more
Lia Argall: Hire a P.A and dont worry about it
Raul Lushba! ugh: Plastic storage boxes come in a variety of sizes and are not too dear in the diy shops. From the same source shelves are cheaper to buy complete with brackets than to buy a piece of wood to make a shelf.Until you remodel have any accessories white.
Neville Dautremont: Milk crates are your friends...Buy beg borrow them ..On end they make great shelves for rolled towels you can put curtains in front of the openings to dress them up..flat they organize paperwork. You can paint them too. You can use them to do make shift shelves with a piece of wood board.
