What are keys in a relationship?

Bob Nakamoto: Like the previous answers said, honesty and trust are essential. But also devotion. My marriage had a really hard few years, and through those years, when it gets really rough, whether your married or seriously dating, if you want to make it work, you have to know that the other person isn't always going to be giving an equal amount of effort. There may be times when you are the only one giving the effort and it's really frustrating and you just want to give up. But those are the most important times to try your hardest. It's easy to love someone when the going is good and the stress is gone, but the best kind of love is the one that endures. If you stick with it, and work through the hard stuff without being bitter or angry all the time, which is really hard, then you when that time is over, you'll know that you worked together and succeeded. And you have to know that just because you passed one rough patch, doesn't mean there won't be another. There will a! lways be something sooner or later that requries your extra effort.
