Do any Dublin Pubs carry cold american beer?

Burt Cheevers: Do you actually think we dont have refrigeration? Yes we sell Budweiser and Coors and in most off licences (liquor stores) you can buy lots of beers from different countries. There are lots of good beers here you don't need to just look for American beer.

Rosella Figliola: Most of them sell cold American beer. And German beer. And Dutch beer. And Mexican beer. And Czech beer. And Danish beer .....

Matt Tiry: you wanna leave america to drink american beer in a different setting?? drink irish beer for god's sake it's not world famous for nothing you know ;)

Emerita Sciandra: Almost all pubs serve Budwieser and a few other awful US 'beers'. But we have great Irish and European beers which are far better.

Dorine Nurre: It depends. A typical bar in the mid-west is very different than one in say, New York or Los Angeles. Still most will have at least 2-3 brands on tap. Bottles are the norm in a bar as opposed to cans which are most often ! sold to go. A bar has to have an off-sale license to sell liquor to be taken off the property and few do so rarely will you see cans in a bar, club, or pub. Budwieser and Bud Light are everywhere. Miller, Michelob, Pabst too. Canadian beers are popular such as Molson, Labatts, and St. Pauli Girl. Sam Adams bottles many varieties and you might find a bitter among them, though I cannot say for sure. Boch beers usually come out in autumn and might be the closest thing to be found unless you find a micro-brewery in the area you are in. Heineken, Grolsch, Guinness are pretty standard imports found most anywhere. Corona and Tecate common in the southern states. Coors is very common, but my opinion of it is dehydrated water. Hard to call it beer. Sorry Coors people. But being I was raised in Wisconsin when there were local breweries all over the state, I have to recommend the only small brewery still in existance thanks to Miller buying and keeping them alive and brewing. "Lienenk! ugels" made from the Big Eddie Springs in Chippewa Falls is my! favorite. The original or boch, not the other 3 newer types.(I forgot what they are named as I don't live there now.) Also, there are "dry states" meaning that alcohol is prohibited or restricted in how it is used. Utah is one I know for sure, but there are others. Some states don't sell alcohol on Sundays, Most stop selling at 1 or 2 am. Others like Nevada's Las Vegas are 24/7/365 and you can walk about while carrying open beverages. So if you are having a beer tasting holiday in the US, avoid the dry states and Cheers! One more thing. Some states restrict the alcohol content to 3.2 where in the next state the same beer will have 5.4 so that's another thing to watch for. =) Ah, just enjoy!...Show more

Charline Granes: ah ill think youll find beer from the 4 corners of the world but as the old saying goes when in rome etc.guinness is your onlyman.

Irving Jordahl: They do serve budweiser and we even found Busch Light but the bartender laughed at us when we asked! about it. They said that it tasted like lemonade and it should be mixed with alcohol. My husband drank Guiness or Smithwicks when we were there and I drank Bulmer's a lot (its a cider beer). Try something new...you will love it!!
