Jene Licausi: what kind of home theatre system, a receiver or like the ones you buy with little speakers in target? if its a receiver that you can connect multiple things in the back then ya it doesn't matter but i don't know about the other kind.
Johnny Sirko: you should be able to connect almost anything if you have the proper cables
Mikel Bethay: At the minimum a DVD player is required to have composite A/V connections(red, white, yellow) connections. While most also have better connections nowadays these connections allow for the greatest connectivity. As far as the home theater system goes there is a wide variety of systems and a few of the cheapest ones may not allow for it. If the system is very cheap and included a built in DVD player then it may not have additional input but even most of those will have at least 1 AV input. Any home theater system that does not have the DVD player built in has to have inputs for a DVD player or other source or what is ! the point?...Show more
Hal Rouse: Any DVD in the market can be connected to any Home Theater system, with the exception of those ones that have the DVD or Blue Ray disc player already built it (home theater in a box). If a home theater system has an input for an HDMI, component and optical or coax then it can also be connected.
Gladys Worthing: well, it depends on what your home theatre consists of. Does it have a sole receiver or the one with a built in DVD player? In any case you can defintely connect your dvd player to it. Just need either HDMI cables, or the Composite cables. Cables depend on your DVD player and the Reciever. Then you just put your Receiver on "DVD" function with its remote and viola!! it should be working!!
