Rebeca Mckin: "Necessary" = understanding how you are expecting to use it.The GoPro family are considered "action cams". When used that way, a chest mount, helmet mount, pipe-mount, clip on, wrist or surfboard mounts - among others - are available. A Disneyworld trip does not exactly fall into the categories that *require* use of these sorts of accessories. If you are not planning to take a computer with you, then you might consider stocking up on a couple of memory cards - we don't know how long your trip will be or if you plan to record every waking moment (99% of that video will never be watch - and assuming you edit, 99% of the video will be cut and discarded).Use of some sort of "steadying device" is *strongly* recommended. That can be a tripod, any of the available mounts, the ground, a chair, shelf or rock... ANYTHING, but not handheld. When you get the camera and start practicing, you will learn that humans were not built to be steady. Lots of motion (panning left! /right and constantly pointing the camera at something new while recording) and shakiness are not fun to watch for a long time.I commend you for wanting to get your equipment ahead of time and learning to use it BEFORE the trip. The GoPro cams are designed to be easy to use - and they are. The biggest impact is not the accessories, but the person using the device and understanding its limitations so you can sty within the design parameters. When you stray outside the design parameters, you will have poor results.Learning the limits will help you keep your video captures with good quality. Good luck, have fun and safe travels....Show more
