Zelma Casebier: Take a deep breath and slow down.First of all, if it's really an emergency, try to find an amicable solution. If a family member is sick etc, try to obtain any documents to provide evidence. It's not possible that your visa got sponsored from a company located in India. In case no amicable solution is found, you have two possibilities: 1. you resign by giving a 30 days notice or 2. you abscond. In the first case your present employer will have your visa cancelled and you'll receive a 6 months or one year ban. With a six months ban you can come back and take employment at FZs only. In the second case, you have to send your employer your passport from India and ask for cancellation. Then the ban will be imposed. If you can not find an amicable solution and will not stay with your current employer for at least one year, your employer has the right to be compensated because the company paid for all visa costs. You do not have to face any other punishment than t! he bans. Six months you will get banned automatically and a one year Immigration ban might be imposed because you did not fulfill your contract. (Limited or unlimited?).Sit down and rethink if the situation in India is really an emergency and your personal present is required. Sometimes things sound worth than they are. Think if the situation is that bad that you have to give up a job or if you can help more by having a job. All the best!...Show more
