Emilie Santmyer: If you aren't writing either a career specific or job specific objective - SKIP IT! Don't waste the recruiter's time. I don't care how cleverly someone says "I want a good job" it doesn't convince me that you care about THIS one. I've read lots - you are better off without one than with a "generic" one!
