Do churches tell you about personal finance?

Ginny Trickett: Yes churches speak on personal finance but not as specifically as you described in my experience. God has given us many gifts and we are to be good stewards of these gifts. These gifts can be monetary or time or many of other things. All these things we must use wisely. Think about parenting a teenager. If you give them $500 and after a week they have nothing left, would it be wise to give them more? If you give a teenager $500 and they have wisely saved, spent, and given that money wisely it would be logical to assume that if they were given more that they would again use it wisely. Same with adults. A couple making $50,000 a year and still has a huge debt load and not a promising career path, a $20,000 boost in income will not neccessarily help them if they continue to spend more as with the higher income they will be able to take on even more debt and hurt them long term even more!!
