How much is the registration fee for a used car in California?

Rubye Bonnin: the only way the car could of gotten repossessed is that you got behind on your payments. usually they will take the car and sale it at a auction. whatever they get out of the car at the auction will be taken off what you owed on the car. You will have to pay the difference. if you don't you'll get a bad mark on your credit score and itll take years for it to go away.

Marti Declue: Car Registration Fee California

Margart Stimpert: You have two choices.1. Contact the finance company, and make arrangements to bring the payments current. Get your car back.2. Do nothing. The car will be actioned off (usually for less than it is worth) , and they will sue you for any outstanding balance. Your choice....Show more

Guy Bonamico: Better inform your company/agent about the increased value; you may have to pay extra, but be sure they know about it, or the company could conceivably deny coverage on the paint job.

Andrew Sinatra: Most insurers req! uire an additional rider to the existing policy to cover custom paint and other items. better check BEFORE something happens.....

Sibyl Siwik: Ca Dmv Registration Fees

Hal Palowoda: If you want your vehicle returned to you, then you must become "current" with your monthly payments. If you're 3 months behind, then you must come up with at least $951 just to get even, and possibly $1,268 for October if the payment is due around the first of the month. There may also be some fees for the cost of the financial institution having the vehicle repossessed. If you don't make the required payments, your credit history will reflect this non-payment of a vehicle loan and your credit will be shot! If you have ant family or friends that would be willing to help, you must get current ASAP on the vehicle or your credit will certainly be damaged for the future. If you can make any payment(s) at all, contact the financial institution to make some type of arrangement. Whatever yo! u do, don't ignore them! If you can't pay anything and your ve! hicle is auctioned off, you'll still owe the difference between the price received for the vehicle at the auction versus the amount you owed at the time of repossession. Good luck and I hope you can come up with some of the money owed so you can protect your credit score!...Show more

Deangelo Marchak: There is a calculator that will do it for you! I used the calculator and got about 390.00, but it depends on when you bought it and where you live, so since I didn't know that information, I had to just fill it in for myself. Here is the link:https://mv.dmv.ca.gov/FeeCalculatorWeb/newVehicleF...More info:For a used car from a private seller you're responsible for the title and registration paperwork. To transfer the title and register the vehicle, you'll need:Application for Title or Registratio! nCalifornia Certificate of Title OR Application for Duplicate TitleSignature of the seller (and lienholder, if any) on the title.Signature of the buyer on the titleOdometer disclosure if the car is less than 10 years old.Smog certification (depending on the car's age)Title transfer fee of $15Registration feeUse tax (this can be in the thousands of dollars for newer cars)Additional applicable fees FeesThe two main fees when you're registering a car are:Title transfer fee: $15Registration fee: $31Thanks to state's Vehicle License Fee, use tax, and myriad smaller fees, your registration will usually come to quite a bit the first time you register. If you lose or destroy any paperwork, license plates, or registration stickers, you may apply for duplicates by paying paperwork replacement fees. Ha Wolski: OK, since you failed to provide enough info to work with, I can! not give any advice except this. Your car got repo'd b/c in some way b/! c you failed to make your payments. The repo company didn't do this by accident. The bank hired them to do it. Now you need to get hold of the bank asap and find out what it will take to get the car back. Be prepared to shell out more money than if you had made the payments on time. If you do not, they will wholesale the car at the next auction and you'll be sued in court for the balance. It's perfectly legal. You signed a contract on this. G'luck!...Show more

Kalyn Proietto: You will get "fair market value"

Freeman Rutkin: Vandalism is roofed below the "complete" area of your coverages, and it incredibly is subject to a deductible. maximum possibly, the physique save will basically paint the scratched element. your total motor vehicle possibly does not want re-portray. this might have no impression on your top type.

Jeannine Vassie: Ca Car Registration Fee

Dexter Dicostanzo: California Car Registration Fee

Morris Olexy: no matter what you will be legally responsible for the car. It will show up on your credit for up to 7-8 years. Obviously you stopped paying for it... why start now? Well, that is if you don't want/ care about the car anymore. So in 5 years there will be an alert on your credit and they will chase after you for their money.Basically, if you can still afford it, try to get your car back. Better off owning it while still paying on it.Good luck...Show more

Piedad Bassiti: For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/axpgRFalse. It will be MORE. Tax, registration, tire fee and doc fee adds about 10% to the sale price. Or about $160! 0 for your car. However, if the license on it has been recently renewed! , you'll pay just a transfer fee. That can save you a few hundred dollars.

Lon Pennington: No, Not unless you go to your insurance company let them see the paint job and add that special paint job as special endorsement. They may not insure it at all and if they do, it will be expensive
