Car Registration Help?

Marielle Hedeiros: If you didn't bother to tell the seller to go to the DMV, pay all fees and get a new undamaged title before you bought it there is little you can do except mark the tuition of the school of life as paid, and go see the DMV to see if they can help.

Shawn Lelis: This isn't Federal law. WHERE?I have no idea what "$800 in fees" means.A 1981 vehicle?

Burt Stoecklin: So your next steps will be down to your local DMV office to see what they require you to do to register this vehicle

Donella Vasta: In my state, one doesn't need a "bill of sale". They are worthless. All you may need is a valid title, properly filled out and signed by the seller. What does "damaged title" mean? Physically damaged or is it a salvage title ?Why aren't you asking your DMV what the next step(s) are? and what to do?"So I recently........................" ?Or......I recently.......? What is the word "So" for? why did you preface a question with "So" ?Grammar m! atters...Show more

Mark Hovanes: You bought a 37 year old non-running car with $800 dollar in fees with a damaged title. I hope your state does not have a smog check or state inspection because it seems like you just wasted some of your money. Go to your local DMV and see what you need to get the car titled and registered to you.
